Apprenticeships through Norristown Tattoo Company require a contract, as well as a fee to maintain enrollment. The fees are as follows:

• Standard Tattoo Apprenticeship (3 years):

  • $15,000 ($5,000 first year, $5,000 second year, $5,000 final year)

• Accelerated Knowledge and Skills Training (18 months):

  • $10,000

• Tattoo & Piercing Apprenticeship (4 years):

  • $18,000 ($4,500 per year)

• Piercing and Body Mod Apprenticeship (2 years):

  • $7,500

The reason for the fees and contracts are that many individuals start apprenticeships, stopping and resuming sporadically. Unfortunately this burdens the mentor with interrupting the flow of business, imparting sacred wisdom, and adjusting to accommodate the needs of a new learner. Always look at a tattoo apprenticeship like college or an investment in your future. You are expected to complete tasks as necessary while learning a set of skills that can be monetized for the rest of your lifetime and shared with others. Employment:

At Norristown Tattoo company, we apply a booth rental fee if you are seeking employment. You must make a deposit in addition to paying the current month’s fee. The deposit fee is equal to ½ (half) one month of booth rental. You are able to take some walk-ins on and able to bring your own clients. Normal stock is provided, such as barrier related items, furniture, PPE, and medical tools.

Monthly: After you pay your monthly fee, there are no percentages taken. You are responsible for your own scheduling and booking.

• Booth fee tattoos only:

  • $1,600 per month

• Booth fee tattoos and piercings:

  • $2,000 per month

• Booth fee piercings only:

  • $800 per month

Percentage: Artist gets to keep their cut with 100% of their tips (directly to them from client) and have their calendar integrated into our booking system.

• Resident Artists (Licensed/Apprenticed by Rysqo - or Licensed tattooing longer than 10 years)

  • 70% Artist/ 30% Shop

• Resident Artist (Licensed - Tattooing less than 10 years)

  • 60% Artist/ 40% Shop

• Resident Artists (Unlicensed/Trained elsewhere - or Tattooing less than 10 years)

  • 50% Artist/ 50% Shop

• Guest Artists (Licensed Only)

  • 70% Artist/ 30% Shop
